I visited my old exteacher bud from 35 yrs ago who for 20 years has been a topclass champion longbow and recurve bow maker who has taken 2 Virginia bears over 500 lbs.

This is osage with horn laminate recurve tip and snake skin backing.

Bottom bow in vice is osage iirc backed with buffalo hide, real thin shaved skin i layed a piece over for effect.

Above is a horn bow with python backing.

Above that is a ladys bamboo 2 layer with S Am purple heart wood center.

Orange bow is osage with bamboo, you can see the bamboo rings.

Top is a take down recurve all layes are bamboo except for a thin colored spacer.,
