I held a nuisance wildlife control license in Washington State for 20 years prior to moving to Alaska. It allowed me, as a private operator, to take any nuisance furbearers, anytime of year. I worked with F&G but not for them. They issued the licenses after the state did away with the nuisance wildlife positions. I would be shocked if in any state, a game warden gave a rat's backside about homeowners/landowners killing nuisance furbearers. I worked closely with many of them and not a one of them wanted to be bothered with skunks, opossum or raccoons or any other nuisance wildlife for that matter. So regardless of the laws in your given state, I'll bet if you ask a game warden, they'll tell you to deal with the offending intruders yourself, and in a lot of cases may loan you a trap with which to do it.

Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.
