Donuts. They were the clear winner out of dog food, popcorn, leftover meat and gut scraps from the previous year’s moose, and every kind of syrup and sauce known to man. And instead of cooking grease I preferred Yummy Chummy brand concentrated salmon oil, dog food supplement and the factory was down the street from my old employer. We’d go get a case of smashed bottles every spring and it was like instant hits when we’d pour that on some donuts or spray it up in the trees where the wind would carry it.
