Bears don’t like nasty stuff like that as much as people would think.

If bait gets wet and start to sour bears will often abandon it.


Bears like the same stuff we do. Try to keep them around a bait for some time by hiding treats, like candy under big logs, etc. Drill a hole in a tree or downed log and shove a candy cane into it. They will work on that for a while. I've seen them take down an entire tree to get at it. They seem to love the game.
