First and foremost, sweets. Pastries, cans of frosting, expired containers of fountain soda syrup, hadn't heard of pineapple before but it sure sounds logical. We'd build a triangle of logs up against a tree then cover the logs in honey. Gets on their pads and leads others back to your site.
Our "bulk" was dog food and/or oats. Just a guess, but, if one had access to confectionary sunflower seeds in bulk I bet they'd work well.
Restaurant supply size bottles of Anise (black licorice scent) and liquid smoke. We'd soak several cloths with that and nail them high in a tree. Get a good scent cone blowing through the woods.
Used restaurant fryer grease is a great way to get scent spread far and wide as they'll get it on their pads and lead a trail back to your bait site for others to follow.
We used honey or bacon burns while we were in the stand.
