I've had good luck with the following:
Leftover donuts that the local shop is throwing out.
Dry oatmeal mixed with molasses.
Popcorn with some Kool-Aid powder sprinkled over it.
If you have access to cheap watermelons, smash one on the ground at your bait site.
And as an attractant to get some scent in the air, I will take a couple of cans of tuna in oil and nail them to a tree about 7 feet in the air. The oil will run down the side of the tree. Just be careful when nailing it because the oil will squirt back at you.
