Seems like politics to me. Any Federally guaranteed student loan is already forgiven for anyone with SSI disability (or death).
Disability is the most abused "safety net" program right now. Lots of folks "depressed" enough to draw SSI. It needs to be dealt with.
Yep........seems like everyone that was ever in the military has PTSD.........including the supply clerk.
About 1/2 of the civilian population seem to be afflicted with it as well.
yes, I agree completely.
However the civilian population doesn't get to collect $4,000 a month for their PTSD.
I doubt Wally the battery cage supply clerk has ever had to pry the charred remains of a couple of babies out of car crash or watch people die before the jaws of life could free them from a wreck like a fireman or rescue squad first responders.
The civilian population doesn't get to go buy a new truck, new four wheeler and new boat just because they heard an ammo dump being demo'd 6km away while they slurped soft serve ice cream in the Green Zone chow hall.
