I know a local guy, who admitted that he fell off a truck while in the army, hurt his knee, and was awarded an honorable discharge AND a permanent disability..........all to keep going to Nam. He bragged about it. He could do as much as anyone else could.
Chit like that bothers me......not that he didn't have to go to Nam, as Nam was a crock of chit, but because he brags about it.
Jesus said the poor will be with us always. Seems He was also referring to the poorly behaving. He knew. We should too. They are all around us.
