Vets that were rated 100% Permanent and Total have been able to have loan forgiveness for several years now. What Trump did as already mentioned was streamlined the process. I guess he got tired of waiting on Congress to do it, as back in May I believe they were working on this and it looked like it had promise to pass both the House and Senate.

That being said, I started my VA disability process 2.5 weeks ago today. Whether I get 0% or 100%, I'd gladly given up any monetary amount to be pain free again, and live a life as I once did. I was the guy that sucked it up and went on, My last few years after re-injuring my back, I made sure I started getting crap documented. The first 6 years of my medical records are missing thanks to a hurricane, but 2015 to 2018, made up for that. For the vets that need the help, I hope they get it. While I agree some do milk it for everything there is, there are others that will never get all the help they need for their injuries.
