The biggest issue of using a peep sighted gun is you lose a little time if the animal is in cover trying to figure out which end is which and you lose a little time identifying what is or isn't a shootable animal.
But in terms of a clear, unobstructed shot, you won't lose anything under 200 yards or maybe 300 if the light is good.
