It's been a while and I have been playing golf more than shooting which consisted of only the odd range outing...
Anyways... a lefty Winchester M70 is a rare breed down under, and having missed out on the only other LH Winchester over 5 years ago, I had to grab this one even though 270WSM is probably not a cartridge on my wish list... beggers cant be choosers. In my haste I never asked about the barrel lenght and when it arrived I found out its been shortened to 22"
I'm thinking that with full loads and muzzle blast, it's probably not going to be a pleasant rifle to shoot .. i'm asking if anyone can recommend a powder/projectile combo that would give me a nice stalking round about 2600 fps ... if this is possible.
