I load 140 Accubonds for 4 270 WSM’s. I guess they have 24” barrels. I will measure mine when I get home. I can’t imagine why anyone would shorten a WSM rifle. I like mine, not much recoil in my opinion.
My 270 WSM is one rifle I do not plan on reloading for at least for a while. I have a case of Federal Premium loaded with 140 gr. Accubonds. They shoot great and performed very well on the last caribou I shot 5 years ago. The gun is a little heavier than either of my 300 WSMs, but it’s a Winchester 70 SS, the 300’s are a Remington 700 BDL SS, and the other a Tikka T3 Lite. I much prefer the 270 WSM over the 300’s as it’s just a well balanced rifle.
