I've not discussed this with our kids.
We live in a very conservative area in a very conservative state. I'd think a civil war would become much more obvious in other parts of the country than it would here and the arguments for and/or against it would be a bit more easily seen at that time. There would be a lot of "fuss" at the state and local government levels here against a federal push before the need would arise. This would again, I hope, make the arguments self explanatory.....
