I'd probably just strip the bolt head and action railways until it was smooth and play with it for a while before stripping it all down. Maybe put some Burris XTR 2 piece bases on it. Make some dummy rounds and see how it feeds, handles, and balances. Could be a nice little working rifle with minimal work to it. Enjoy it Judman!
