Bumping this thread. It got me thinking of a new project. The only thing I would do a little differently would be adding iron sights to it. Only because of what I prefer for tracking and stalking. You’d have to silver solder one on that barrel but it’s truly an ideal rig for tracking and stalking deer and bear hunting in the big woods. I thought my Whelen was ideal but damn, that’s about perfect.
