No I didn't have it heat treated, the 1909 are known for being soft, yet thousands are out there and still working fine. I have another 1909 in 338 mag and have had no setback in either.
Many trusted experts claim no need to re-heat treat, others claim it as cheap insurance, so far so good for me.


Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure mine has not been re heat treated.
