Just applied for SS. First check coming next month. Figured I'd get what's coming to me before it's gone, hell I paid into it for decades.

Yes, or so they say.
Some of us paid into it for 50 or so years though.
I prefer to use mine up instead of leaving it there for someone who hasn't.
