It's been a while since they had full red cattle.
There's any number of red cattle breeds. Red Poll, Devon, and Red Angus for example, and there's other breeds which will often throw all-red calves too, like Durham, Shorthorn, Limousin, Dexter and others. Not hard to find them at all.
Of course that is only one of the massive plot holes in this fairytale.
