Israel is spending allot of money on a so called fairytale. They won't import cattle. They have imported semen from red cattle here in the USA for the breeding program.
Once again, bollocks. Israel has been importing live cattle since 1996, when restrictions were lifted, to increase local production of beef. They are also working to develop a beef breed suited to the local conditions. This follows their success in developing their dairy herd to be among the most productive in the world.
