I used to get up at 3:30 AM and put 3-4 miles on the farm tractor (I was 2-3 years too young for a driver's license) running fox and coon traps.

Builds character.
Well I didn't have a tractor but I got up a couple hours early to go check traps before school. My parents didn't buy me any guns or ammo when I was kid but fur money did.
