He can't legally sell it. It hasn't been USDA inspected.

Packing companies can only be paid the original processing fee if someone else wants it.

But, I don't see someone else wanting to pay $425 for someone else's deer bologna. laugh

I have seen it happen around here many times. Processors sell wild game or farm raised critters to cover processing costs of products which are not picked up by customer.

That is if the law has not changed in the last couple years.

One thing is new from a while back. No one will take a "farm kill". Sheep, goat, pig, or cow, it has to walk onto their kill floor. Or handled by a licensed mobile butcher.

Still waiting for USDA to try to outlaw wild game processors, like they have attempted to outlaw raw milk.
