In the past couple weeks I've been in three sporting goods stores in my part of Montana when looking for other stuff, and found pretty good supplies of rimfire ammo on their shelves, right out in the open, without crowds of people pushing and shoving to buy any. in fact two of the stores had several FEET of stack boxes of rimfire ammo, including .17 HMR, .22 Long Rifle (both hollow-point and solid), and .22 Magnum.

Now, some of the prices weren't exactly low. Hundred-round boxes of one desirable brand of Long Rifle hollow-points were $9.99, but none of the bricks of solid-point Long Rifle was over $30. .17 and .22 Magnum were $12 to $15 per 50.

I didn't need any of it, and apparently nobody else did either while I was in any of the shops. Was just wondering if this was happening elsewhere.
