Yes, it took some fitting.
My screws worked OK.
Maybe it's not seating fully. More fitting may be necessary.
How much short are the OEM screws?

Trigger guard seats fully into an original stock. Not sure how short bedding screws are, just know that they wont do up. Have tried 2 more original stocks and still the same problem.
Willies trigger guards are certainly well made, heaps better than the originals....
