Well I got the 38-55 home today and cleaned it up. I noticed something on that I never seen on a 1899 before. This rifle has a small single letter “s” stamped on the lever boss. I don’t remember ever seeing a LBC on a 1899. I only ever remember seeing one on the later 99’s. Anyone got any thoughts?
