It has something to do with not altering the wildlife. Deer didn't used to look up for predators. Now you have to be 12-15' or higher to escape notice. (This is what I was told by ODNR)

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.
