Another vote fr the 6.5PRC. Or a 6.5-06 or 6.5-06AI.

Build a custom if you can't find a rifle that suits you. Start with a Savage action, buy a good barrel and screw it on yourself. Not very expensive.

Went with the 6.5-06AI some years ago and no regrets. 130g Scirocco II (B.C. .571) @ 3161fps stays supersonic past 1200 yards. My fireform loads use WW .25-06 brass, 140g AMAX, CCI200 primers and a Hornady max 6.5-06 (non-AI) charge of H4831SC for 2780fps. Both the fireform and Scirocco loads are super accurate.

My girls love to shoot that rifle because recoil is pretty low. Last time I had it to the range I killed 5 clay pigeons on the 600-yard berm for about a 50% hit rate.
