Well Rocky.....about the distances involved...did it ever occur to you that any "aliens" might be a highly advanced form of AI with a highly advanced/evolved form of synthesized robotics??? Isn't our sending "rovers" to Mars kind of a primitive form of the same thing? Why do we do it? Do WE have a REASON? Yes, the distances involved are truly mind boggling and even if we ever make "contact" with another "intelligent" life form, it may take 1000 years to exchange garbled emails.... wink
