If I had to use one rifle, it would be a 243. I usually grab the 222RemMag though, because it is in a Sako L461 and I really like that rifle.

I use a 22 Hornet, 222RemMag and the 243.

When I get a new ranch to hunt, and I have to come back with dead coyotes to impress the owner, I grab the 243, usually using a 75gr Vmax.

Long range, or short, this is a hammer on coyotes, and has been surprisingly fur friendly, from 20yds to 450yds+. I went about 33 coyotes straight without any fur damage or exits. On #34, the damage was, shall we say, severe.
