Mine is a Springfield Armory 1911 A1 GI WWII model pistol with wood grips, parkerized finish, small GI sights & shallow ejection port.
I purchased this more than 10 years ago. I have a couple other 1911s - both replicas and WWI style. One is a Colt Model of 1911 WWI,
The other is a Remington UMC WWI replica which was a Remington and Turnbull collaboration. Both pistols are still NIB.

I bought my Springfield Armory WWII GI replica used but like new. It's well constructed and is an accurate shooter.
It's nostalgic and I wouldn't touch or change a thing. I like it just as it is - perfect!

The above model is an olive drab finish - mine is a parkerized black.
