Plenty of other folks like him in the world, whose lives are a train wreck and they have plenty of time on their hands and access to the internet...where they can be a hero in their delusions.. guys like Stumpy either die by cirrhosis or suicide when drunk one night...so be easy on him... you don't want to be blamed for the latter...
