I am with the thrift store guys. There are great deals on old dress wool pants, fleece, soft shells to purchase if you don't mind Dan's Tire Repair on the chest. I buy drab colors. I don't skimp on footwear , (Asolo Powermatic 200 GV) ever because I walk a lot during my days afield or on waterproof outerwear although it isn't camouflage. I am also a proponent of gaiters. I can't see a difference in the functionality of name brand vs. thrift store gear given the same materials of the garments. My nephew does tell me I look like a walking billboard for local businesses but I am warm and dry so it's all good fun!
