When I first started hunting all my gear came from the army surplus store, west German sweaters, pants etc. served me well for many years. About 8 years ago I happened on to a fella that was selling all of his one year old Sitka gear for around $0.30 on the dollar the only caveat was you had to buy the entire lot which was around $500.

Took the plunge and I am glad I did. Gear is still in great shape and I've added some additional base layers that I purchase off ebay during the non hunting season.

So has it made me a better hunter? Probably not but it does allow me stay out in the field longer since I'm more comfortable and it sure is light and easier to clean than wool.

If God can get by on 10%, why does the government need 90%
