i usually wear army uniform pants (still have probably 10 sets of woodland BDUs ), army insulated underwear, and 100% wool shirts. out west for elk i usually wear some german military surplus wool pants and shirt as outer garments for less noise. here on the farm if i'm hunting deer from a stand i wear walls coveralls as the outer garment. i don't own any expensive hunting clothing except some columbia clothing which i use regularly for ducks and geese. years back i killed moose, dall sheep, mountain goat, and caribou in alaska, before the high dollar stuff was invented. don't remember being too cold then, just dressed in layers with plenty of wool. used mouse boots in alaska for years. here and out west i use boots from bass pro or some other store. cost for my latest pair, probably 15 years ago, was maybe 200 bucks. ymmv
