These handgun caliber arguments are hilarious. None produce a permanent wound cavity. There is not 20% difference in results with anything from 44 magnum to 380 ACP. Part of this is being able to hit better with a smaller caliber and part of this is because handguns suck compared to anything over 2000 FPS. I would fear a well armed criminal with a Glock 17 over one armed with a 44 Magnum revolver at 15 paces any day and every day, even a 357. If the first shot is a miss and it might be, the chance for a second would be slim to none against a well armed defender with a G17 or G19 all else being equal.The odds are in favor of hits over power.
