my dad use to shoot silhouettes with an open sited colt python, he had no problem hitting the rams at 500 meters.
People think that because they can't do it, nobody else can do it, either. And no, I can't but I know that some can. Just like those who can't believe that you can shoot 3 MOA groups at 5-600yds with peep sights and a tight sling, prone... that I could occasionally do back in the old days.
