My biggest worry is my plan to retire in 3-6 years. I think my 401k will recover but am concerned this is a big enough set back, I won't be where I need to be.
Well, you're supposed to be happy to give it all up in the hope of adding 8-10 months to the life of the overweight chain-smoker who is already dying of diabetes and COPD. His poor choices are much more valuable than your hard work and good choices. It's easy for others to make that choice for you.
