If I knew deer would be all I would ever be hunting, a .243 Win. or .257 Rob. would be my only rifle. If limited to factory ammo, it would be the .243 but, since I handload, it would be the Roberts. Why? Just because. Either one will easily handle the biggest whitetail (or muley) that ever munched an alfalfa sprout.
