I killed a few deer with a 243. I liked it even better when I had it opened up to a 6-284. No caliber was helped more than a 243 with modern improved Bullets like the barnes. Hasbeen
i built a couple of 6mm-284 rifles they are very accurate and dang fast too,i have one of them with a 28 inch barrel it shoots a 70 B.T. 4000 fps and shoots a inch off the bench at 300 yards.
