I don't know who this Why Coyote Hunter is, but I do know who Warren Page and Byron Dalyrymble were. The former, a long time writer for Field & Stream who regularly used the .243 for Deer and Elk and praised the round. The latter, long time writer for Outdoor Life, who used a .243 almost exclusively and killed over 100 Texas Whitetails without losing a one. I have made dozens of very clean, quick kills with the caliber. I see no reason to subject my old, skinny shoulder to more recoil than necessary.
