Rimmed is nicer to handle in any single shot. If you go break open instead of falling block you might as well acknowledge you're going to get another barrel at some point. In fact same applies with falling block (just more $). If you acknowledge this early it saves you dancing around a do it all when the gunnutitis strikes.
My K95 has 6.5x57R and 5.6x50R barrels. I hate recoil and these have worked well for me.
