If you’re looking at Dakota 10 or Merkel you should seek out Luxus 11 ($4.5K-$7K) and Martini-Hagn (Fine Canadian Gunmaker $5K-$9K). They’re all Farquharson based actions (except Merkels) same as Ruger No 1 with exceptional workmanship and artisan quality second to none. Chamber wise you can’t go wrong with a 270 Win or 308 Win. Ammo found anywhere on the globe and will do anything a 7x57 or 280 Rem will do.
