Well I have both although the .280 is based on a 1909 Argentine. My #1A in 7x7 would be my choice. Why? Maybe it's part of putting the hun back into hunting and doing it with a cartridge that's 128 years old that still works today. Maybe, in my old age getting the snot kicked out of me is no longer fun. Maybe it's more actually getting out to go rather than just shooting game. Besides, I just flat out like that old 7x57. It's like me in a way. Both of us still work in our old age.
