The big problem with weight in a #1 is a goodly chunk of that weight is in the action. Probably the lightest #1 I have is the #1A in 7x57 and it's close to 9 pounds with scope and sling and a butt cuff with ammo.

My Browning B78 weighs even more that the #1 B or s models I have in 30-06 and .300 Win. Mag. I'm guessing at least 10 pounds with scope and sling. I basically use that one as a cast bullet shooter at the range.

Still lookin' for that Dakota 7x57 a a price I can afford. I know, dream on.
