I drove a red Ferrari convertible (1985 308) into the warehouse from the transporter back around 1987, it was a grey market import. Not much of a drive, but I did it!! A pox on FedGov for putting an end to that party, the American people were getting what they wanted - versions of Euro cars not sold here.

After that I test-drove a 2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra convertible with the supercharged V-8, that was a really fast car and I regret not buying it.

Dad had a black 1987 Buick Grand National with the turbocharged V-6 - incredibly quiet car (well, Buick!) that was deceivingly fast. Fun car to drive and no bad characteristics (for 1987, anyway).

The sportiest car I owned was the only new car I've bought, a 1985 Ford Mustang, the last year with an Autolite carburetor with the T-5 5-speed transmission.

I'm boring and practical, now: two Nissan Frontier p/u's frown
