I’ve never been around performance cars much. My buddy had a new GTO (Holden/Australian) with the 6.0 and 6 speed. It was enough to make my wife freak out, and I didn’t make it out of 3rd gear.
Then 2 or 3 years ago we were in Vegas for a wedding. Sick of Vegas after a day. Decided to rent a car and get out of town for the day. Choices were a minivan for $100/day, or a Corvette for $140. Easy choice. We out nearly 600 miles on it that day. Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks were fun in it. It also was enough to make my wife freak out. Kinda started off wrong when she pulled out of the parking garage onto Vegas Boulevard, I told her to punch it, and she went completely sideways. Crying. Good times.
