In the days before Homeland Security, when the border was nothing more than a wave of the hand, we drank a lot of Washington state 3.2 beer. . It was tough to get a good buzz on, I would spend too much time pissing. The liquor laws in BC in those days were enforced much stricter, making it much harder for under a 21 to buy than in Washington state. Our own Extra Old Stock ( called hi-test) was 3x stronger than the 3.2. That's where three beer a night could become a problem.
