Having owned a Springfield Loaded to dip my toe in the water, and then having my dear wife buy me a Wilson CQB, the Springfield went down the road. The Springfield never bobbled, but there was no comparison in fit, finish, or feel. I imagine the Brown, Les Baer, and Nighthawks are all wonderful iterations of the 1911.


There's no reason why a Les Baer can't be someone's favorite 1911, but much better gun guys than me have said Les Baer 1911's are a mediocre pistol wrapped around a great barrel.
