Just me, but if you can get a good deal on it, I’d say buy it BSA. JMan has a 7 SAUM in the same rifle and said it’s excellent.
I know they aren’t super popular but I’d bet it’s a right handy rifle. And somewhat rare. Not some peoples bottle of beer but to me that’s rare enough to be neat to have. Other than a set of dies and some cases I don’t think you’d be into all that much to make it run. Pretty much a 30-06 Improved.
Ask Dave7mm about the 300 SAUM. It’s his cartridge of choice for 1000 yard silhouette and from what he’s shown me, I’d not be a bit scared to try one out.
And those SS/Laminates are freaking cool!
