When I was growing up (60s and 70s) we only ate fast food maybe once a week. Pizza, or McDonalds, or Ponderosa Steak House on Friday evening. We played hard all day long. No A/C in the house. Just fans in the windows. I was still a fat kid. It wasn’t until my Sophomore year of High School that I started working out and slimming down. I realized that the girls wouldn’t go for a disgusting fat body. All that being said, out here where I live (30 miles east of Columbus) the kids are playing baseball, football, and soccer all the time. Our schools always have more kids trying out than will get playing time. Not every kid has what it takes to bust there hump doing 2 a days in the hot August sun.
