Not my first, but the 788 .243 Winchester that my Dad biught me for getting good grades when I was about 14-15. It started out with an old
Weaver K4 on it. Now it has an old K6 on top. Haven’t fires it in years though. When I was a teen I killed a bunch of groundhogs with it. Took it to Ky. deer hunting in 1984, but didn’t shoot anything.
